On Thursday night, wide receiver Mohamed Sanu was the cruel victim of a prank call. Someone called saying they were from the Cincinnati Bengals and they were taking him in the first round.
No prank this time: Cincinnati Bengals take WR Mohamed Sanu

On Friday night, the call was real. The Bengals used the No. 83 pick on the sure-handed Rutgers wide receiver. Although the Bengals took wide receiver A.J. Green in the first round last year, the team needed to add a second option after Jerome Simpson was let go.
Sanu is a good foil for Green. While Green stretches the field vertically, Sanu will play the middle underneath routes. He’s not a big-play wide receiver, but he’s sound and smart.
Quick scouting notes: An incredibly strong wide receiver and has maybe the best hands of any wide receiver in this year’s class. Long arms. Good body control to catch outside his frame. Uses strength to beat press coverage. Good leaper to high point the ball. Used to run and return the ball before his junior season.
