The draft class for the St. Louis Rams is rife with boom or bust players. They started with defensive tackle Michael Brockers, an undeveloped redshirt sophomore defensive tackle. The Rams moved back to make the pick, though, so the added draft picks were critical.

The Rams also picked up cornerbacks Janoris Jenkins and Trumaine Johnson. Both, Jenkins in particular, have had some off-field character issues.
But with the first pick in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams went a smart safe pick with Chris Givens. He’s the second wide receiver the Rams have added after Brian Quick.
Quick scouting notes: Quick and gets up to speed in a hurry. Good route runner. Doesn’t take a wasted step and runs sharp routes. Agile enough to make defenders miss after the catch. Does a good job adjusting to poor throws.
