The 2012 Draft is over and it is time to move onto the 2013 draft. I already rated the top 32 prospects and ranked the 2013 QB prospects and now I will move onto the running backs. Next year’s class of RBs appears to be loaded with talent as well as injury concerns. Two of the top three RBs in the class are coming off major leg injuries.

The top back in the class is clearly Marcus Lattimore. Lattimore had an incredible freshman year in 2010 and was on his way to another great year in 2011 before a ACL surgery ended his season. If he can regain his form, he could be a top five pick in the draft. After that there are three solid mid first to early second round prospects. The first is the ultra productive Montee Ball. He does not have great speed but he is good at everything else. Then there is Knile Davis who has elite speed and great vision. He could end up being a top 15 pick if he regains his form. Finally, there is Michael Dyer who was kicked of Auburn and is now at Arkansas State. He has great talent but will need to prove that he is a more mature man to become a first round pick. After that, there are seven other backs that I see as possible Day 2 or Day 3 picks at this point. See the rankings after the jump.

1. Marcus Lattimore, RB, South Carolina

2. Montee Ball, RB, Wisconsin

3. Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas

4. Michael Dyer, RB, Arkansas State

5. Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina

6. Ray Graham, RB, Pittsburgh

7. Andre Ellington, RB, Clemson

8. Christine Michael, RB, Texas A&M

9. Kenjon Barner, RB, Oregon

10. Jonathan Franklin, RB, UCLA

11. Cierre Wood, RB, Notre Dame

He’s a bit of a liability in the run game, but his potential in the pass game was enough for Buffalo Rumblings.
