The SB Nation two-round NFL mock draft continues along with each lead NFL team blogger making the pick for their team. Up now is the Denver Broncos with the 25th pick.

With the 25th pick in the 2012 SB Nation NFL Writers Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos select LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers.

John Bena who runs Mile High Report is catching rays, so Sayre Bedinger from the site checks in today to make the pick. In addition to doing great work for MHR, Sayre runs NFLMocks.com with Jesse Bartolis. Make sure to check those guys out and discussion of the pick after the jump. And, of course, for more on the Broncos, head over to MileHighReport.com.

Sayre Bedinger explains: This would probably be some kind of best-case scenario for the Broncos. The board has played out that the only defensive tackle off the board is Fletcher Cox. That seems somewhat unlikely to me, but Cox is not the top DT on my board so for the Broncos, this could be ideal and could result in a move down. From what I’ve been told, the Broncos would like to trade down if they can, so this would be the ideal scenario to do so. However, it’d be very tough to pass on the talent that Michael Brockers possesses. He is my top-ranked DT this year, and I think he’s going to be an absolute stud in the NFL. I read that he was given a late-first to early-second round grade by the draft advisory committee, but based on potential alone I think he is a top 15 grade. At 25 overall, this is a steal and Broncos fans would be dancing and jumping for joy.

Dan Kadar responds: For the most part, I like this pick a lot. Defensive tackle is arguably Denver’s biggest need, though running back is up there as well. So the need fill is there. I have Devon Still of Penn State higher, particularly to the Broncos. Brockers may not be a factor in his first year, while Still is more of a plug and play rookie whose ceiling is a little lower.
