In an effort to have plenty of time to get acclimated to the track and all its surroundings, 2012 Kentucky Derby winner I’ll Have Another is already on site at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.
Preakness 2012: I’ll Have Another Arrives At Pimlico
Kentucky Derby winner I’ll Have Another has arrived unconventionally early to the Pimlico Race Course in preperation for next Saturday’s Preakness Stakes.

Arriving by airplane earlier this week, the Doug O’Neill-trained horse was whisked away by police escort to Pimlico, opting not to shack up in the Pimlico barn stall traditionally reserved for Derby winners. Instead, I’ll Have Another will stay in a stall for undercard stakes horses.
With the 2012 Preakness Stakes nine days away, I’ll Have Another is getting settled in, arriving earlier than any Derby winning horse to the second leg of the Triple Crown in more than 10 years. It’s something his camp believes is best for everyone invested in winning the Triple Crown, especially the prized horse.
A 15-1 longshot to win the 138th running of the roses, many don’t know what to make of I’ll Have Another’s chances to win the Preakness, or if Derby favorite Bodemeister will even race May 19.
