For our amusement, maybe; or to show them how easy they have it compared to their forbearers.
According to baseball-reference.com, Larry French’s number-one comp player is Rube Marquard . This means that either French belongs in the Hall of Fame or Marquard doesn’t. Since none of Marquard’s top 10 comps are in the Hall, I think we know the answer to that one.
