NHL Playoffs 2012, Kings Vs. Coyotes Game 1: Game Time, TV Coverage And More

The Western Conference Finals begin Sunday night with the Phoenix Coyotes hosting the LA Kings in Game 1.

The NHL's conference finals start with a Sunday evening primetime matchup in the Western Conference. The Phoenix Coyotes will host the Los Angeles Kings in Game 1 at Jobing.com Arena. The unlikely Western Finals matchup features two of the hottest goaltenders in the game in the Coyotes' Mike Smith and the Kings' Jonathan Quick.

The Kings enter on fire, winning eight of nine games in the first two rounds against the top two seeds. Phoenix closed out the Blackhawks in an evenly-matched first round series that featured overtime in the first five games. It was the first playoff series win for the Coyotes since relocating to Arizona, and they built on that momentum in the second round by making quick work of the Nashville Predators in a gentleman’s sweep. With both goaltenders playing their best, it’s likely to be an low-scoring close series. Schedule and broadcast information for Game 1 below:
