So today I came out with the list of players that were drafted who attended the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine. Well most of the readers, hit me up after the article came out and began asking me, what 37 players were the ones drafted that didn’t get invited to the NFL Combine. If you missed today’s article on the NFL Combine and Draft you can see it on the front page of Mocking The Draft. Basically, there were 253 players drafted in 2012, out of those 253 players, 216 players were invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. There were only 37 players who were not invited that were drafted, so the big question is WHO ARE THEY? So there you have it folks, there are 9 players that come from small schools out of the 37. That is not many but to think that there were 253 draft picks and only these 37 were not invited to the NFL Combine means quite a bit. That is a pretty impressive stat, and to me these were players that scouts had rated pretty high. Especially guys like Tavon Wilson who was taken in the second round. That was considered a reach by many people, but we shall see how big of a reach it was after this year. Wilson could be a very productive player for the Patriots who had a very rough secondary last season.
