Special Mentality

Francisco Rodriguez entered the Twins-Brewers game in the 8th, with his team down 3-2, and gave up a run. Joe Magrane, on MLB Network:

↵↵You know, K-Rod thinks that he still should be the closer. John Axford has locked down that job. [Rodriguez] comes over from the Mets, not a closer, now he’s a set-up guy. And he comes into a situation that he’s not accustomed to being in, behind, and so far this inning is kind of blowing up on him.

↵↵I can tell the people who believe closers are cut from a different cloth are smarter than I am because they’re seemingly not at all bothered by boundless cognitive dissonance.
