Hafner missed almost half of 2011 with various injuries, and was off to a decent start this year, hitting .242/.380/.439 with six home runs and 23 RBI in 132 at-bats. The recall of Barnes gives the Indians a full complement again in their bullpen; they had been going with a six-man pen for a time. Hafner’s DL move is retroactive to May 24.
