No word is abused as much as “reach” when referring to the NFL Draft. It’s a word often thrown around by people who don’t know what draft boards around the league look like.
Ronnie Hillman may have been a reach, but Broncos have high hopes for him

But when the Denver Broncos took San Diego State running back Ronnie Hillman off the board at No. 67 overall in the third round, it may have been a bit of a reach, according to Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post. Legwold spoke with various NFL executives and found out that Hillman was graded slightly lower than where the Broncos took him.
Still, Hillman is an explosive back that will get an opportunity to contribute this season in Denver. Willis McGahee is approaching the end of his career, and Knowshon Moreno continues to fall out of favor with the coaching staff due to poor play and injuries.
Hillman is a versatile player who should be able to contribute on third down if he shows pass blocking ability. All he has to do is take advantage of the opportunities he is given, and that overused word will be the last word people use to describe him.
