Nine teams will get their first look at their newly acquired rookies today. It’s the first day rookie minicamps are allowed to be scheduled thanks to the new collective bargaining agreement, and nine of the NFL’s 32 teams have decided to open up as soon as possible.
First Set Of Rookie Minicamps Open Today
Minicamps are extremely valuable for coaches and rookies alike. Coaches get first chance to help teach their new talent the playbook and help start adjustment on any technical issues a player has. It’s the first step in what will be a long adjustment over the next few months to get these rookies ready for the NFL.
Apparently, new Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is ready.
