SB Nation Studios videos: Making pretty on YouTube

In case you’ve been under a rock, SB Nation has gone into overdrive with its video content production. You’ve seen some of the draft analysis videos plastered around here, I’m sure. But the SB Nation Studios team has video production on lock down.

Among their regular shows, my favorite is Shutdown Fullback. It features Spencer Hall of Everyday Should Be Saturday and Jason Kirk of SB Nation Atlanta and the Falcoholic and he’s SBN’s college football editor (we basically keep the boy chained to the floor). Here is their latest, a Mystery Science Theater 3000-esque look at a 1980s Clemson recruiting video:

Watch this one too. You’ll laugh, guaranteed.

Similar to Shutdown Fullback (out Fridays), there have been a few different ongoings like Bomani & Jones with Bomani Jones, The Sporting Gentleman with Matt Ufford and Dan Rubenstein (who has quickly become my favorite SBN video personality) and some others.

Amy K. Nelson and her team do some truly amazing work with the Full Nelson. Even if you don’t like baseball, this profile on former Kansas City Royals first baseman WIllie Mays Aikens will tug at your heartstrings.

The production value on these really is amazing. I’m not saying that as some shill, either. I really know none of these people and have no reason to kiss ass (as you can see, I’ve done no videos and I’m not hankering to do any soon – reasons: double chin, flop sweat, voracious monotone). But when good work is good, it should be recognized. So, go dig around SB Nation’s YouTube channel. You may see Ufford long-hug with Kate Upton (that bastard) or Rubenstein smooch CNBC’s Darren Rovell. What you will see, for sure, is some excellent work. It’s the stuff that makes me proud to have the tiniest of tiny corners in our network.

And while you’re in the video mood, don’t forget about our very own JoshD’s YouTube channel of full cut games.

He’s a bit of a liability in the run game, but his potential in the pass game was enough for Buffalo Rumblings.

It’s a high-potential pick for a Detroit defense that needs a solid pass rusher.
