2012 College World Series: Arizona Tops UCLA 4-0

The Arizona Wildcats are now only win away from the finals of the College World Series, as they defeated the UCLA Bruins 4-0 on Sunday night.

With the win, Arizona will have three days off before they will play again.

The Wildcats were paced by starter Konner Wade, who pitched a five-hit complete game shutout, dominating the Bruins batters from the very beginning of the game.

They got all their offense from a big fourth inning, where they got five consecutive hits off UCLA starter Nick Vander Tuig. Seth Mejis-Brean got Arizona on the board by driving in two-runs on a bases-loaded single; Bobby Brown followed him, smacking a two-RBI double.

The Bruins will now play Florida State on Tuesday in an elimination game for both teams.
