Dave Barnett is the TV play-by-play voice of the Texas Rangers. He's going to be off the air for at least a couple of days. This wouldn't normally be newsworthy, but something strange happened during Monday night's telecast:
Dave Barnett, Rangers TV Voice, Off Air After Bizarre Incident
Texas Rangers TV announcer Dave Barnett said some strange things during Monday night’s game, and will be off the air for a few days. A health issue could be involved.

During the eighth inning Monday night in San Diego, Barnett said a runner was on “fifth” base after a “botched robbery.” He then mentioned a “henchman” before the broadcast went silent for several seconds.
In a statement Tuesday, the Rangers said Barnett would be evaluated over the “next few days” and miss the rest of the San Diego series. The team says Barnett believes he’s had a recurrence of migraine headaches. You can see a video clip of this here. It sounds funny at first, but these sorts of things can be serious business and quite debilitating. Something similar happened to Los Angeles TV reporter Serene Branson a little more than a year ago when reporting from the Grammy Awards; she suffered a “migraine with aura”.
