The quarterbacks of the class of 2011 had an interesting season.
NFL Training Camp Battles: Jake Locker and Matt Hassellbeck to split reps at Titans Camp

Cam Newton surprised everyone, transitioning smoothly from Auburn's spread offense to post record breaking numbers in his rookie season. Meanwhile, Andy Dalton also impressed, leading the Bengals to the posteason. And on the opposite end of the spectrum, Blaine Gabbert struggled in his first season under center in Jacksonville.
But one quarterback who flew under the radar due to a lack of playing time was Tennessee's Jake Locker. Locker was the second quarterback off the board in the 2011 NFL Draft, but spent his rookie season stuck behind Matt Hasselbeck. This year, Locker will get a chance to win the job, as the two are already splitting reps 50-50 in camp, according to the Tennessean.
The Titans would be wise to move on with Locker as their quarterback, especially after his impressive play in spot duty last season. He was drafted to the be the franchise signal caller and has closed the gap on Hasselbeck.
Chris Johnson, Kenny Britt and Kendal Wright give Locker plenty of weapons to work with, and he seems ready to take the reins of this offense. At the very least, Locker will get a chance to prove he is ready this offseason.
