Thanks to some inclement weather Wednesday night, Thursday will be a busy day at the 2012 College World Series, with three games taking place at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha.
College World Series 2012: Three Games Scheduled For Thursday
South Carolina and Kent State were supposed to square off Wednesday, but rain forced their elimination game to be postponed. The Gamecocks and Golden Flashes will now play at 12 p.m. ET, with the loser being eliminated from the tournament.
Arizona and Florida State will meet for the second time in the 2012 College World Series at 5 p.m. ET. The teams met to open College World Series play last Friday, with Arizona winning 4-3. The Seminoles must win to force an elimiation game. If Arizona wins, they will advance to the championship series.
Arkansas will play the winner of the morning game between South Carolina and Kent State at 9 p.m. ET Thursday night. A Razorback win would put them in the championship series. Arkansas beat both teams earlier in the tournament, knocking off Kent State 8-1 and South Carolina 2-1.
All three of Thursday’s games will be broadcast on ESPN2.
