I love road racing in NASCAR! Now it wasn’t always that way, in fact I used to dread these road race weekends but not anymore. Road racing has grown on me. The more I watched it, the more I learned about it and the more I learned the more I appreciated the nuances of the driving style to the point that I really look forward to these races each season especially Road America - what an awesome track!

With road courses we get some ‘ringers’ but these guys are brought in because they are road racing experts not because they are Cup drivers - although some of those guys can really turn right as well as left too. The difference between these ‘ringers’ and the Cup guys is that some of these road racing experts are trying to get a foot in the NASCAR door for full-time rides while the Cup guys already have that advantage and that is why you see some edge of your seat racing with these ringers because a win for them is worth more than a win for a Cup guy dipping in the Nationwide season for a weekend.
