What an incredible day of recruiting Friday for the Washington Huskies. At the conclusion of Washington's summer football camp, eight recruits, many of them nationally elite, verbally committed to the Huskies. Yes, eight (8).

The four headliners are Demorea Stringfellow, a top receiver from California, Deashon Hall, an elite defensive end and former Texas commitment, Elijah Qualls, a very athletic defensive tackle from California, and LaVon Coleman, a bruising running back from -- you guessed it, California.
It looks like the signing of coach Tosh Lupoi at the end of last recruiting season is paying off in a major way for the Huskies. Lupoi is known to have great relationships with recruits from California, and much of the buzz around the Washington program must be credited to him.
Four other recruits also pulled the trigger for the Huskies, including defensive lineman Andrew Basham, offensive lineman Poasi Maola, and end/linebacker Caleb Tucker. 2014 receiver Rashead Johnson also jumped on board. All of the commitments were broken by Scout’s Greg Biggins.
