It's been a miserable season for the Minnesota Twins, who begin Sunday with the worst record in the American League.
Twins’ Carl Pavano Headed To Disabled List
The Twins have been bad this year. Carl Pavano has been bad this year. Now Pavano is probably heading for the DL.

It's been a miserable season for Twins starter Carl Pavano, who with a 6.00 ERA in 11 starts has the third-highest such mark for any qualified AL starter.
Now we know one possible reason for this:
Ron Gardenhire says on @1500ESPN that Carl Pavano is almost certainly going to be placed on the disabled list.

What’s wrong with Pavano?
Ron Gardenhire indicates #Twins probably are going to give Carl Pavano some rest, meaning a DL stint. Lacks strength. Sees doc tomorrow.

Nothing specific. Just “lacks strength.” You could probably say this about the entire Twins team, given their 19-33 record. If you are keeping track of the Minnesota rotation:
Jeff Manship probably would replace Pavano for start on Wednesday. #Twins

Manship has a 5.65 career ERA in 30 appearances (six starts) over the last four seasons with the Twins.
So it goes in Minnesota in the 2012 baseball season.
