The Cleveland Browns are wasting no time in making No. 3 overall pick Trent Richardson a big part of the offense. And it should come as no surprise.
Trent Richardson a ‘lock’ for workhorse role with Cleveland Browns

While plenty of positions will be decided by training camp battles in Cleveland, the biggest training camp battle at the running back position will be to decide who will be Richardson’s backup, according to Nate Ulrich of the Akron beacon Journal.
The Browns are heavily invested in Richardson and he has the talent to start immediately for this offense. There is no reason why he shouldn’t touch the ball 300 times in Cleveland’s offense this season.
Fantasy Spin: Workhorse running backs are hard to come by in fantasy football. Richardson’s stock is slowly climbing as he further cements himself as a 20 carry per game tailback. Cleveland’s offense won’t be a juggernaut, but the offensive line is among the league’s best, and the passing game should take a step forward this season. Regardless, Richardson will have the volume of work and talent on his size. Don’t hesitate to spend a late first round pick on the Cleveland running back. Stay tuned for full rankings closer to training camp to find out where Richardson falls in fantasy football this year.
