Johnny Cueto Scratched From Sunday Start With Blister

The Reds righthander will have his next start pushed back at least two days.

The Reds' Johnny Cueto has been one of the top starters in the National League this season, posting a 2.39 ERA and 1.155 WHIP in 18 starts; he's one of the biggest reasons the Reds currently are tied for first place in the NL Central. He was going to have a start on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball against the Cardinals... but now that won't happen:

Blisters can be difficult things -- while that tweet says Cueto’s start is going to be pushed back just two days, other pitchers have had to go on the disabled list when they wind up with blisters on their pitching hands.

Homer Bailey will make the start in Sunday night's nationally-televised game against the Cardinals' Jake Westbrook; Cincinnati is going for a series sweep.
