Colts owner, Jim Irsay has insisted that the deal has been close over the past few weeks, but it appears that it’s finally come to a conclusion.
The news comes a day after the Redskins penned second overall pick Robert Griffin III to a four-year, $21 million deal. Now it's down to business for both Luck and Griffin, the latter opens training camp with the Redskins next week. Everyone knew these two deals would get done before camp, but it was more important for Luck, who couldn't participate in off-season OTAs due to NCAA school rules. Now Luck has the chance to start building that chemistry with his receivers in preparation for week one.
With the top two picks of the draft signed, expect the rest to fall into place soon enough.
Update: Chappell has the contract details.
ALuck's contract with #Colts expected to be 4 yrs/$22 million with $14.5 million SB. Team with fifth-year option. Dinner's on No. 12.
