The rookie signings continue to trickle in with Trent Richarson, David DeCastro, Riley Reiff and Morris Claiborne the latest to put their names on their first NFL contracts.

Most NFL training camps will be open by week’s end, but five team’s still need to iron out negotiations with their 2012 first round draft picks.

- Brandon Weeden, Quarterback, Cleveland Browns (July 29)
While the collective bargaining agreement significantly dropped the price on rookie contracts and seems to have made negotiations easier for many teams, a handful of teams are still waiting until the final days to hammer out deals. In some instances, such as Justin Blackmon, it could simply be a case of the team wanting to wait until the last minute to make him a rich man, given his off the field issues. Some are also noting the potential offset language in the contracts as reason for the delay. Either way, the time is running out for these first year players to reach deals.
