Kevin Youkilis has been a hitting machine since he was acquired by the Chicago White Sox from the Boston Red Sox by trade June 24. Entering Wednesday afternoon's game against the Twins, Youkilis was hitting .272/.370/.478 in 24 games (108 plate appearances) with five home runs and 24 RBI. His 126 OPS+ with the White Sox is exactly his career average.
Kevin Youkilis Leaves Game With Ankle Sprain
The White Sox have gotten great production out of their third base acquisition, but now he could miss time with an ankle sprain.

Youkilis had to leave Wednesday’s game after two at-bats:
Correction: Youkilis turned his ankle rounding first on single in THIRD inning. Out with sprain.

There's no word on the severity of this injury or whether Youkilis will have to miss any more time than just the rest of Wednesday's game. Eduardo Escobar batted for Youkilis in the fourth inning and then replaced him in the field at third base.
