Robert Woods enters his junior season at USC as the near-consensus No. 1 wide receiver eligible for the 2013 NFL Draft. Woods certainly has company in a talented crop of 2013 receivers, but for now, his polished route running and soft hands have earned him high praise in the draft community.

Unfortunately for Woods and the Trojans, the star receiver won’t be entering camp 100-percent healthy after offseason ankle surgery, according to ESPN LA.

“Our reports have not said that he’ll be 100 percent,” USC head coach Lane Kiffin told ESPN LA. “Obviously, we would like for that to be case. But until I can physically get with him, which I’m not allowed to right now, and see him move around, I can’t really tell myself where exactly he is.”

Woods played through the ankle injury for much of the 2011 season, still managing to catch 111 passes for 1,292 yards and 15 touchdowns. He obviously plays a huge role in one of the nation's elite passing attacks. With Matt Barkley returning for his senior season, Woods will get a chance to improve on his 2011 numbers and further improve his draft stock, provided he can stay healthy.

With California’s Keenan Allen, Washington State’s Marquess Wilson and a pair of wideouts down at Tennessee breathing down his neck, Woods will have to continue to develop in order to stay atop his class. He’ll have to get on the field to do that.
