Impact draft picks: NFC West

Getty Images

This is the final decision and to be honest the NFC West has done an extremely good job at putting together some drafts in the past five years. This year again they did a really good job at finding players who are going to come right in and be play makers. I think the NFC West will be a lot better than the years in the past, and if they can get the rookies below to step up like I think they could, they could be in great shape at getting this division back on track. It has been a while since the NFC West was a dominate division, but it won’t be long if their young quarterbacks can get on track.

Seattle Seahawks - Winston Guy Jr, SS, Kentucky, If you didn't have the capability of watching this kid play last year at Kentucky you really missed out. This is a very high motored, hard hitting safety, who fits the mold perfectly of a Pete Carroll type of player. Guy will come in and immediately make an impact on Special Teams and could potentially become a starter on defense. Guy will be used in a role, because of his skills in covering, I believe he could be utilized a lot when going up against a big time tight end. Keep an eye on Guy because he is by far a sleeper.

Arizona Cardinals - Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame, I don't know anyone that would put a different player up on this list. When Floyd is opposite of Larry Fitzgerald, it is not going to matter who is the quarterback. All they will have to do is have the time to get rid of it. I can see any of the quarterbacks in Arizona throwing for a ton of yards, because these wide receivers will have something to prove. Fitzgerald wanted Floyd and has taken him under his wings. Floyd is a big physical receiver and the best physical receiver to come out since Anquan Boldin. Get ready for another type performance.

San Francisco 49ers - Lamichael James, RB, Oregon, I know they are packed at the running back position, but they have two very tough runners, James will be a guy like Jaquizz Rogers for the Falcons. He can come in and totally throw off your game. Your expecting a big back in Jacobs or a hard runner in Gore to be in the game, and next thing you know you are trying to adjust for a very fast scat back.. I believe that he will be a huge asset to the Niners this season. He is a tough kid, and has a nose for the end zone.

Saint Louis Rams - Janoris Jenkins, CB, North Alabama, This is one of my favorite picks again, because he has a nose for the ball. Everyone seems to hate Jenkins, but that is what makes me LOVE him more. They hate on him for all the wrong reasons, but let me tell you Rams fans, as a small school scout, you didn't just get the best corner in the draft, you were able to get a really good person. I have had the chance to speak with Jenkins and he is a very tough kid, who wants to prove everyone wrong. He is my favorite to win Defensive Rookie of the Year, so there you go NFL fans, Janoris Jenkins is the final impact player for all divisions.
