Who says you can’t time travel? At a cost of $19 and a stamp, you can vote for the 1971 All-Star Game and then mail in your ballot (It would be to an address that is probably no longer functional, but that’s beside the point.) After the jump, you can see the ballot manipulated to show which players started.
Hall of Fame starters: Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Willie Stargell, Willie McCovey, Johnny Bench, Carl Yastrzemski, Frank Robinson, Brooks Robinson and Luis Aparicio.
Hall of Famers injured or reserved: Lou Brock, Roberto Clemente, Ron Santo, Harmon Killebrew, Reggie Jackson and Al Kaline.
Hall of Famers not voted or named to game: Orlando Cepeda, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez and Billy Williams.
