Tyrann Mathieu hasn't left himself with too many options. The defensive back known as "Honey Badger" was dismissed from LSU's football team on Friday. Now, he is reportedly looking into a transfer to FCS McNeese State according to a former teammate and Bruce Feldman.
Tyrann Mathieu considering a transfer to McNeese State

Following up on the Josh Jasper tweet, Tyrann Mathieu is looking at transferring to McNeese State according to a source.
— Bruce Feldman (@BFeldmanCBS) August 10, 2012
Entering his junior season, Mathieu is eligible for the NFL Draft following this season, but he needs to find a place to play to salvage his draft stock. He would be required to sit out a year if he transferred to another FBS school, but would be able to play immediately in the vent that he transfered to the FCS.
However, Feldman also notes that if Mathieu was declared ineligible after his third failed drug test, he would not be able to play at any NCAA school in 2012.
We’ll keep an eye on the situation in the coming days, and as always, check out And the Valley Shook for more on LSU.
