That whole 'having less than 11 men' thing is really coming back to bite Chelsea. They were the slightly better side in the first half, but with a man advantage, Manchester City are taking Chelsea apart and the Community Shield is as good as won. Yaya Toure equalized early in the half, and his team has followed up that strike with goals by Carlos Tevez and Samir Nasri. With just under 30 minutes to play, City leads Chelsea 3-1.

Tevez's goal was an absolute stunner, hit into the top corner from 20 yards out. Samir Nasri laid the ball off for him and he surged into the center of the pitch, then blasted past Petr Cech.
Six minutes later, in the 65th minute, Nasri all but ended the game with a comfortable one-touch finish from close range. Aleksandar Kolarov provided the cross and Nasri got himself into a brilliant position before he poked the ball home.
At this point, City might conserve their energy and let off the gas a bit. They’re probably best served keeping possession now that they have a two-goal lead against 10 men with under a half hour remaining in the match.
