Carlos Delfino’s Contract With Rockets Is For $3 Million Per Season

The numbers are officially in for Carlos Delfino's deal with the Rockets. The veteran forward signed for $3 million, with next year's team option also being of the $3 million variety, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Delfino, who just finished up representing Argentina in the Olympics, is a 40% field goal shooter who has averaged 7.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists over his seven-year career.

While still only 29, Delfino seems to be slowly be on the decline after taking a dip in nearly every statistical category during his final year with the Milwaukee Bucks. The Rockets certainly could use his experience though, as the competition at his position right now comes from three rookies: Jeremy Lamb, Royce White and Terrence Jones.

The Rockets cut second-year forward Josh Harrellson in a corresponding roster move, according to Feigen. Harrellson averaged 4.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in his 37 games with the New York Knicks last season.
