Ryan Tannehill, the one quarterback drafted in the first round with the least experience at the position, will apparently start for the Miami Dolphins in their preseason game against the Carolina Panthers on Friday night, according to broadcaster Dick Stockton.

Miami Dolphins first-round draft pick Ryan Tannehill will start at quarterback for the Dolphins in Friday night’s preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.


Legendary broadcaster Dick Stockton just said on 790 The Ticket that Ryan Tannehill is starting for the Miami Dolphins tonight.

Ryan Tannehill played all of the second half against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Dolphins' preseason opener last week. In that game, Tannehill went 14-for-21 passing for 167 yards and a touchdown. Friday's game will be his first opportunity against a first team defense.
