FC Augsburg threw three players making their debut into the starting lineup and eased past Regionalliga side SV Wilhelmshaven. Andreas Ottl, Aristide Bance, and Knowledge Musona all received starts today in their first official contest with the club. Bance headed a cross by Tobias Werner in the 28th minute to put Augsburg ahead. Wilhelmshaven kept fighting for an equalizer, but Musona put the game away with a strike in the 78th minute. With the first win under the belt for Mark Weinzierl, he can now focus on getting his side ready for Bundesliga action.
