The last year has been a roller coaster ride for Michael Dyer.
Report: Michael Dyer will not play football this year

After an up and down career at Auburn, Dyer transferred to Arkansas State, but the NCAA denied his appeal to play immediately this season. Rumors began to swirl regarding Dyer’s next move, with multiple reports having the running back land in Division-II.
But Dyer will not play football in 2012. Instead, he will enroll at a school close to home in Little Rock, Ark., according to ESPN’s Joe Schad.
Dyer, a former offensive MVP of the BCS title game, was once a promising NFL Draft prospect, but his stock is up in the air at this point. It seems unlikely that Dyer would declare for the 2013 NFL Draft, and if he does, his stock has certainly taken quite the hit at this point.
Like Tyrann Mathieu, though, Dyer could be making the right decision for himself personally. Some time away from football could be good for him to sort things out and decide on the best option for his future.
