For a passing offense that ranked No. 32 in the NFL in 2011, Justin Blackmon was a welcome addition.
Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon shines in preseason debut

The No. 5 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Blackmon raised some concerns when he was arrested for driving under the influence shortly after the draft. His training camp holdout didn’t do much to alleviate the fans.
But in his first preseason action, Blackmon was everything the fans wanted to see. With an improved Blaine Gabbert throwing him the ball, Blackmon caught four passes for 48 yards and an impressive touchdown on Friday night against the Saints.
Check out the video of Blackmon’s first touchdown after the jump.
Blackmon didn’t do much to prove he can get open downfield, but he did manage to find room underneath and dominate after the catch. He is a strong kid with a big catch radius that will help him make plays. He still has plenty to prove, but Friday was a nice start for the rookie.
