Manchester City Vs. Southampton 2012: Game Time, TV Schedule, Live Updates And More

Manchester City are probably going to beat Southampton pretty easily on Sunday. But maybe they won’t!

Manchester City are dealing with some injuries and didn't look good when Chelsea had 11 men during the Community Shield, but they can probably manage to nab three points at home in their Premier League debut against Southampton. The Saints have plenty of talent and should have a decent shot of staying up, but their porous defense is likely to struggle at Eastlands.

Mario Balotelli is a doubt for City, while Joe Hart is expected to return from injury. Gareth Barry and Micah Richards are still out. Southampton's only injury doubt is Jack Cork, who wasn't a lock to start anyway.

Southampton have some decent midfield and attacking talent and could nick a goal, but it would be stunning to see them hold City at all. Hopefully for the neutrals, this match gets nice and open.

Game Date/Time: Saturday, 11 a.m. ET, 4 p.m. ET

Venue: City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester, England

TV: FOX Soccer Channel (U.S.), Sky Sports 1 (U.K.), Sportsnet (Canada)

It was previously reported that Spieth, Thomas and Fowler all went in on Leeds United. That does not appear to be entirely the case.
