Time to shut ‘er down?

In Ricky Romero's first dozen starts this season, he went 7-1 with a 4.02 ERA.

In his 13 starts since, he's 1-9 with a 7.19 ERA. The capper might have come Tuesday night against the Tigers, when Romero issued eight walks without any strikeouts at all. It was the first time since 2008 that a pitcher had walked eight without a strikeout. And the guy who did that has a 7.47 career ERA.
