Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid has confirmed that third round rookie quarterback, Nick Foles, will be the Eagles starting quarterback in place of the injured Michael Vick for Friday night's match up against the Cleveland Browns. Vick suffered a rib injury against the Patriots this past Monday, and will likely sit out the rest of preseason as a precaution.
Nick Foles Set To Start In Michael Vick’s Absence

Foles has been highly touted by members of the Eagles media after impressive performances in training camp and preseason games. He’s statistically been the best Eagles quarterback in preseason thus far, completing a combined 24 of 38 passes for 361 yards, with four touchdowns and an interception in his two games.
His impressive start to his rookie campaign has seen him leapfrog Trent Edwards and Mike Kafka for playing time. If he continues on this path, he could jump to second on the depth chart before the season begins. And with Vick's style of play at starting quarterback, he's always a likely candidate for injury. This could lead to Nick Foles seeing the field a lot earlier than we all anticipated.
