The draw at the U.S. Open has been announced, with a number of intriguing matches possible on the docket at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.
U.S. Open Draw 2012: Roger Federer, Andy Murray Rematch Possible In Semis
The draw for the 2012 U.S. Open has been announced and an Olympic finals reprise could be in the cards.

Defending Wimbledon champion and No. 1 seed Roger Federer will play American Donald Young in the first round. He could have an Olympic finals rematch with No. 3 seed and Gold medalist Andy Murray in a potential semifinal match after being placed on the same side of the draw. Murray will meet Russia’s Alex Bogomolov Jr. in the first round.
No. 2 seed and defending U.S. Open champ Novak Djokovic will take on Italian Paolo Lorenzi, but could face No. 4 seed David Ferrer in the semifinal as they are on the same side of the draw as well.
Other possible quarterfinals match ups include Federer vs. No. 6 Tomas Berdych, who upset him in the 2010 Wimbledon quarterfinals, Djokovic vs. 2009 U.S. Open champion Juan Martin del Potro, Murray vs. No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and Ferrer vs. No. 8 Janko Tipsarevic.
On the women’s side of the draw, Victoria Azarenka has been named the No. 1 seed, followed by Agnieszka Radwanska and Maria Sharapova as the No. 2 and 3 seeds, respectively. Defending Wimbledon champ and Olympic gold medalist Serena Williams was named the No. 4 seed.
