Red Sox pitcher Alfredo Aceves has been suspended for three games by the team for what is being called "conduct detrimental to the team," according to MLB.com's Twitter.

Reports are indicating that Aceves was upset with Boston's first-year manager Bobby Valentine following the Sox's series opening win against the Royals on Friday. Aceves reportedly stormed out of the manager's office before Saturday's game and was suspended not too long after that.

In his most recent appearance, Aceves recorded a blown save in a 14-13 loss against the Dodgers. He pitched just one inning but gave up five runs (all earned) on six hits. That was Aceves' third blown save since July 29. For the season, Aceves has 25 saves and seven blown, with a 4.60 ERA.

Aceves has appeared in 58 games, pitching 62 2/3 innings.
