David DeCastro injury headlines a rough night for Steelers rookies

The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted David DeCastro in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft to solidify the weak interior of their offensive line. They followed that pick with Mike Adams, to eventually be the team's blindside protector.

If Saturday night's preseason game against the Buffalo Bills is any indication, neither will be making much of an impact in his rookie season.

DeCastro was carted off the field with a knee injury that appeared to be serious. The Steelers haven’t provided details on the injury yet, but Steelers’ fans will certainly be holding their breath.

Meanwhile, Adams was pulled from the game and replaced at left tackle by Max Starks. Adams had gotten a few chances to start and didn't impress much in either outing. He struggled with inconsistent focus and technique at Ohio State, and some of the same issues are surfacing in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers could be in for another year of offensive line trouble.
