Tuesday, Major League Baseball announced 50-game suspensions for three minor-league players who failed drug tests.
Blue Jays’ 1st-Round Pick Suspended For 50 Games

The most notable of the suspended players is Blue Jays relief-pitching prospect Marcus Stroman, their first-round pick in last June’s amateur draft. In 15 minor-league games since signing with the Jays, Stroman’s posted a 3.26 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 19 innings.
In the wake of that news, Stroman released this statement:
Despite taking precautions to avoid violating the minor league testing program, I unknowingly ingested a banned stimulant that was in an over-the-counter supplement. Nonetheless, I accept full responsibility and I want to apologize to the Toronto Blue Jays organization, my family, my teammates, and the Blue Jays fans everywhere. I look forward to putting this behind me and rejoining my teammates.
