2013 NFL Draft middle linebacker rankings: Manti Te’o leads solid class

Getty Images

The class of middle linebackers in this year's draft took a major hit when Shayne Skov got injured and Manti Te'o and Kevin Reddick decided to come back to school. In turn, it looks like the middle linebacker class for the 2013 NFL Draft looks like an incredible one.

This may be the rare position group where seniors are the best players. Te’o, despite being highly rated by most, has generally been analyzed poorly. Most look at his size and assume he’s not agile or fast. But he’s shown the ability to drop into coverage and chase down ball carriers plenty. He’s easily a top 20 pick in April.

It will be interesting to see how Alabama's Nico Johnson and C.J. Mosley develop this season. They're used in a variety of ways by Nick Saban. Also keep an eye on Georgia's Alec Ogletree. He was limited by injury a season ago, but closed strong with 13 tackles in the Outback Bowl. He's a fast, active player. Find the full rankings after the jump.
