Redskins’ Tanard Jackson Suspended Indefinitely

Redskins safety Tanard Jackson has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of the NFL’s drug policy, according to a report.

Presswire

Washington Redskins safety Tanard Jackson has reportedly been suspended indefinitely for a violation of the NFL's drug policy. Jackson is trying to appeal the suspension, but is currently slated to have a review in a year.

This is not Jackson's first suspension for running afoul of the league's drug policy. Jackson was last suspended in 2010 when he was a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jackson was released by the Buccaneers in April after failing a physical. He had played the 2011 season while battling injuries.

Jackson began his time with the Redskins on the physically unable to perform list but was removed from the list in late July. Jackson has 193 solo tackles and 10 interceptions in his NFL career but suspensions and injuries have kept him from playing 16 games since his second season in the league in 2008.
