Current Nationwide Series Champion, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., has won the past three Iowa Speedway races in the Nationwide Series and he has a chance to go four in a row this week which would get this year’s Championship run back on track.

Stenhouse is in his final full year in Nationwide and will replace 2003 Sprint Cup Champion Matt Kenseth next season at Roush Fenway Racing. Ricky would love to move up to the Cup Series with two Nationwide Series Championships.
Only 43 Cars are entered this week which means everyone will make it.

There are a few teams to watch this week:

  • #2- Elliott Sadler has come out swinging this year. After failing to win a race last seaon, Sadler already has three wins this year and leads the points. Sadler has placed himself in a great position to just ride out the wave to his first Nascar Championship.
  • #10- Mike Bliss moves over for John Blankenship this week as Jeff Green moves to a start and park (#91) team. That’s four teams for TriStar this week, with only one sponsor.
  • #20- Darrell Wallace Jr will make another start for Joe Gibbs Racing. Wallace could be a dark horse this week.
  • #22- Ryan Blaney will make his Penske Racing debut.
  • #30- Jason Leffler will make his Turner Motorsports return this week. Leffler has been running pretty well in the Truck Series and a good run here could give him a leg up next season.

Tune in Saturday Night at 7pm eastern for Primetime ABC Nationwide Coverage. It’s the live running of the US Cellular 250! And don’t forget to show up here at NASCAR RnR for our Open Race Thread! Enjoy!
