The Cleveland Browns are getting depleted at the linebacker position just as the 2012 NFL season is about to begin. Rookie linebacker James-Michael Johnson could be out for up to four weeks with an oblique injury, according to a report. Johnson sustained the injury the Brown's final preseason game against the Chicago Bears. In fact, without Johnson the Browns have no available strong-side linebackers.

Other Browns strongside linebacker injuries/suspensions this preseason:
-Scott Fujita is suspended for the first three games of the season.
-Chris Gocong was lost for the year due to an Achilles injury.
Kaluka Maiava is the projected starter on the weakside and D'Qwell Jackson will be the starting middle linebacker. The Browns have already started using waivers to address their depth issues. Cleveland reportedly claimed rookie linebacker Tank Carder off waivers from the Buffalo Bills.
