As The Good Phight, it looks like the Phillies are going to summon Double-A slugger Darin Ruf to the majors, now that his club’s been knocked out of the playoffs.

↵↵It is reasonable to be skeptical about 26 year old rookie power hitters with no clear position, but hey let’s see what the guy can do.
↵↵But how much can he do, in the exceptionally limited playing time he’s likely to get? After all, the Phillies have their first baseman locked in for the next few weeks decades. And Ruf can’t play anywhere else.
