Despite the impending NHL lockout, Bruins right wing Tyler Seguin said contract negotiations between himself and the team "have picked up quite heavily recently," according to WEEI's Big Bad Blog.

The current collective bargaining agreement in the NHL expires Sept. 15.
The report also noted Seguin, Boston’s leading goal scorer in 2012 with 29, said his hand is “100 percent” after undergoing surgery to repair a torn tendon this offseason.
Seguin's 2010 draft classmates Taylor Hall (Edmonton) and Jeff Skinner (Carolina) have already signed extensions past their initial contracts. The Bruins announced an extension signed by forward Brad Marchand through the 2016-17 season Sept. 7.
Seguin said he doesn’t have anything concrete on where he’d play during the impending lockout, but has considered the AHL and overseas options.
The Bruins were 49-29-4 (102 points) last season, winning the Northeast Division. Boston was upset by Washington in seven games to end the season.
