The crucial American League Central Division match up between the White Sox and Tigers scheduled for Thursday night has been postponed due to rain. The teams will make up the game on Monday at 1:10 CT. The White Sox (76-66) hold a tenuous one-game lead over the Tigers (75-67), as the Tigers made up a game in the standings by winning two of three against the White Sox earlier this week.
Tigers Vs. White Sox Rained Out, Will Play Monday
The White Sox and Tigers were rained out on Thursday and will make up the game on Monday.

Monday was a scheduled off-day for both teams, so no double-header was necessary to make up the game. The game on Monday makes for a difficult stretch run for both teams though, as it was the final scheduled off day for both. They will now have played 27 straight days of games to end the season, excluding the rain out. It is the final match up of the season between the AL Central title contenders. The Tigers have won 12 of 17 games between them so far.
