Better Late Than Never

The Athletics' attendance is up significantly this season. Percentage-wise, anyway; they're up 10 percent over last season. That's the good news. The bad news is that the A's still rank third-worst in the majors, just a touch above the Rays and Astros.

Ah, but here's some better news: According to Susan Slusser, the A's are expecting a sellout for tonight's game against the Orioles. Not for nothing, but there was a time when the A's routinely ranked among the American League's attendance leaders. I wish I could be there this weekend.
